20. Homer to the Max 1013
A new show pops up on television, and the main character shares Homer’s name. The character is cool at first, but he is quickly rewritten to be a fat slob. Embarrassed by this, Homer legally changes his name to Max Power.
Best Line: “Nobody *snuggles* with Max Power, Marge. You strap yourself in and feel the Gs.”
Best Moment: Homer choosing his name off  a hair dryer.






19. I Love Lisa 415
Ralph Wiggum has a crush on Lisa and wants to be her boyfriend. However, the feelings are not mutual, and she breaks his heart.
Best Line: “I Choo Choo Choose You.”
Best Moment: Bart slowing down the VCR to see the exact moment when Ralph gets his heart broken.






18. Who Shot Mr. Burns- Pt. 1 625
18. Who Shot Mr. Burns- Pt. 2 701
One of the most famous cliffhangers in Simpsons’ history, these two episodes centered around who shot Mr. Burns (a play on the legendary Dallas episode “Who Shot J.R.?”) The cliffhanger was the talk of the summer, and when it was revealed that Maggie was the killer, everything was forgiven.
Best Line: “Who shot who in the what now?”
Best Moment: Mr. Burns wanting to prosecute Maggie despite the fact that she’s a baby, and Mr. Burns wresting candy away from her.






17. Homer Badman 609
After innocently taking a piece of candy off the butt of Bart’s babysitter, Homer finds himself in the middle of a highly televised sexual harassment case.
Best Line: “Give me some of that sweet can. Swe- sweet can.”
Best Moment: Homer hugging his television, vowing to never fight with it again.






16. Flaming Moes 310
Homer creates a drink called the Flaming Homer that Moe steals. The success of the drink causes Moe’s Tavern to become the hottest bar in town, even hosting Aerosmith. A bitter Homer reveals the secret ingredient (cough syrup), and the fad is over.
Best Line: “Oh, look at me! I’m making people happy! I’m a Magical Man from Happy-Land, in a gumdrop house on lollipop lane!”
Best Moment: The appearance of Aerosmith, the first band ever to appear on The Simpsons.
